Who are we?

Electra batteries are designed and sold by the company Afrique Câbles, a subsidiary of Ynna Holding. Ynna Holding is active in many business fields, including wholesale distribution, food processing, industry/public buildings & works, real estate, hotels, renewable energies, etc. Afrique Câbles was founded in 1992 and has its head office in Casablanca, Morocco. Over 250 staff work every day to ensure that our batteries are more reliable, higher-performance, more eco-friendly and more technologically advanced.

Research & Development

This has been in the DNA of Electra Batteries since it was set up: Research & Development is at the core of our strategy and we have successfully designed batteries that are extremely reliable, high-performance and environment-friendly as a result of our active treatment facility for used batteries.

Environment-friendly

Electra Batteries has always pioneered in its ecological and environmental approach. We have directed our investment efforts towards setting up a used battery treatment facility where we recycle no less than 95% of the components in used batteries.

Afrique Câbles (Electra Batteries) received IATF 16949 (2016 Version) - Automobile certification.

Afrique Câbles (Electra Batteries) received OHSAS 18001 (2007 Version) - Occupation Health and Safety certification.

Afrique Câbles (Electra Batteries) received ISO 14001 (2015 Version) - Environment certification.

Prizes and awards

Electra Batteries has been awarded numerous prizes and distinctions over the years, as a result of its strategy focused on engineering, R&D, respect for the environment, safety and innovation.

Salamatouna label

This is a system for labelling automobile spare parts distribution services, designed to distinguish authentic products from counterfeit products.

Hassan II Prize for the Environment

The Hassan II Prize for the Environment was awarded in 2018 by the Secretary of State to the Ministry of Energy and Sustainable Development.

Electra Batteries has always been a pioneer in terms of respect for the environment and reducing its ecological footprint on the planet.

Recycling authorisation / Ministry of the Environment in Morocco

Electra Batteries was authorised to recycle by the Ministry of the Environment in Morocco. Environmental impact is central to its strategy.

Long-term investment in our active recycling facility

Electra Batteries has invested in setting up its used battery treatment facility in Casablanca. By using our infrastructure and our expertise developed in this field, we have managed to stay well ahead of the competition.

Electra Batteries recycles more than 95% of the components from recycled materials

We are proud to state that we are currently able to actively recycle 95% of our used batteries, and we have the clear goal of achieving 100% by using new technologies and R&D currently under way.
